Guidance Curriculum: By May 2026, the Hallettsville Junior High counseling program will deliver a minimum of one guidance lesson every six weeks to 100% of students in grades 6–8, covering topics aligned with the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs (e.g., academic success, college/career readiness, personal/social development). Effectiveness will be measured through student feedback surveys and pre/post assessments, with a goal of achieving at least 85% of students reporting increased understanding or skills in the topic area.
Responsive Services: By May 2026, the school counselor will respond to student mental health, behavioral, and crisis-related concerns by providing short-term individual counseling or small-group counseling to at least 90% of students referred for responsive services within 5 school days of referral. The counselor will track referrals and outcomes using a confidential log, and at least 80% of participating students will report improved coping skills or emotional regulation, as measured by pre/post session self-assessments or exit surveys.
Individual Planning: By May 2026, the school counselor will conduct individual academic planning conferences with 100% of students in grades 5–8 at least once per semester, focusing on academic progress, goal setting, and support strategies.
System Support: By May 2026, the school counselor will hold two advisory council meetings—one each semester—with at least eight stakeholders to review program data, gather feedback, and advocate for the school counseling program. Success will be measured by attendance records and feedback surveys.
