FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. FFA membership today is comprised of 945,988 student members in grades 7 through 12 who belong to one of 9,168 local FFA chapters throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
FFA operates on local, state and national levels. Student members belong to chapters organized at the local school level. Agriculture educators serve as chapter advisors.
Hallsville FFA has chosen program affiliation membership in order to provide the opportunity for any student currently enrolled in an agriculture, food and natural resources course to participate in FFA activities and competitions.
The program affiliation fee option is offered with the assumption that no fees or dues should be collected from individual students. Alternative funding sources are to be used to pay the program affiliation fee so that all agriculture, food and natural resources students have opportunities in FFA as an integral part of the three phase agricultural education delivery model. All students in an affiliated program shall be deemed FFA members. Hallsville FFA membership includes students enrolled in an Agriculture Science course in grades 8th thru 12th. Students complete online membership registration as part of their classroom activities.
