Personal Guidance
Every pupil should have opportunities for guidance interviews with a careers adviser.Â
Year 11 pupils are approaching a significant transition point in their education, as they prepare to move on from secondary school and take the next steps in their academic and professional journey. As such, it is important that they receive guidance and support to help them make informed decisions about their future.
One way that our school provides this support is through individual guidance interviews with our career advisor. These interviews give pupils the opportunity to discuss their interests, strengths, and aspirations with an experienced professional who can offer guidance and advice on the various educational and career pathways available to them.
During the interviews, our career advisor can provide information on further education colleges, universities, and vocational training opportunities. They can also discuss the pupils' academic achievements and offer guidance on subject choices and the qualifications required for different career paths.
In addition, the guidance interviews can help to identify any additional support that pupils may need, such as mentoring or tutoring, to help them achieve their academic and career goals. This personalised support can make a significant difference to the pupils' confidence and motivation as they approach this important transition point in their education.
Overall, the guidance interviews with our career advisor provide a valuable opportunity for Year 11 pupils to receive personalised guidance and support as they prepare to move on to the next stage in their academic and professional journey. By offering this support, we aim to ensure that all of our pupils have the knowledge and skills they need to make informed decisions about their future and to achieve their full potential.
