Mathematician Biography
This project delves into the exploration of my current and past interactions with mathematics, shedding light on the impact of my personality type, aspirations, and goals on these experiences. By providing concrete examples, I aim to illustrate the nuanced relationship you share with mathematics. To conclude, my contact information is included for further communication.
How to learn math
In this project, I engaged with videos featuring Harvard students elucidating various mathematical concepts. The topics covered ranged from the idea that everyone possesses innate mathematical abilities to the assertion that an individual's gender does not impact their mathematical prowess. These insightful videos were curated under the guidance of educator Jo Boaler.
Data collection and research
The Data Collection project involved completing a survey that delves into my perspective on mathematics. Students were required to share the survey with their contacts, aiming to gather diverse responses and insights on the subject.
Final product
The final presentation of my project took the form of a poster narrating the tale of a girl and her family, initially believing that none of them excelled in math. The narrative unfolds with the impact this perception has on her final exam. However, the story concludes with her realization that each family member possesses a mathematical mindset, portraying them all as capable mathematicians.
