This letter explains my... complicated relationship with the subject of math and my time over the years with it. I somewhat enjoy math, but it also frustrates and taunts me when I can't figure out a problem.
The purpose of our identity cards was to show our identity by making graphs depicting data that I collected about my life. It shows how many miles form school I live, My learning style, and how much time I spend with friends.
I made this self-portrait using linear, non linear, and quadratic equations. The purpose of the portrait was to show our understanding of linear equations.
We annotated our Desmos Self Portraits because we wanted to show our guests at exhibition our understanding of linear and quadratic equations through taking equations from our portraits and solving them using elimination and substitution.
At the very beginning of our semester, we made these story boxes to show moments from the lives of our peers in a creative and organic way.
About halfway through our semester, we began learning about heroes, and their impact on people in stories, we than made our own hero's origin stories. As these stories were being made, a lot of students had trouble thinking of what to write, so our teacher proposed that we should try writing the most ridiculous things that came to mind, and thus forth, our stories came out very.... unique.
Our Graphic Novels were our pride and joy of this semester's projects. We created these novels in groups of 8 or so and divided up the work into sections between 1-2 people. working in a group this big posed many challenges, as did working with photoshop software. But after it all, I am very proud of the end result.
Our Camera Obscuras were the first of our products that we presented in physics at exhibition. It was a primitive form of projector, consisting of a box with a couple holes in it, and a couple pieces of tape.
Our Pinhole Cameras were made out of shoeboxes and popcorn tins, but despite being made out of such simple materials, they proved to mostly work, taking black and white images of our peers and school.
