It’s fine to critique ideas and express your feelings, but critiquing someone as a person or being rude isn't okay. Instead of treating others how you want to be treated, listen to how they say that they want to be treated and act accordingly. At every keyboard sits a human being and we're in this class together. Disagree all you want but no personal attacks.
We all have our own opinions on things but in a college class we're not going to make up facts. You can share your opinion, but be clear with others that it's an opinion. If you state something as a fact, be prepared to back it up with reliable sources of research.
Let's all share elements of who we are and be ourselves. This classroom is for all of us to engage and learn.
