DAY 1 Wednesday 17th July:
FROM: UK TO: Marrakech
Depart Stansted Airport 06:25, flight no. FR3556. Arrive in Marrakech 10:05.
Team 1 will be met by their in-country representative and transferred by private bus to the hotel. This afternoon, students will take a walk into the markets and will stay overnight at the hotel.
At the hotel - Hotel Majorelle, just outside the city centre.
DAY 2 Thursday 18th July:
FROM: Marrakech TO: Oukaimeden
After a leisurely start, getting their bearings, this afternoon students will be driven from Marrakech along El Haouz Plain towards the Ourika valley. The road climbs up to the alpine valley of Oukaimeden, a ski resort in winter and grazing temporary village in summer. In the afternoon, students will enjoy an orientation walk around the surrounding area to discover the rock carvings or watch the sunset over a high ridge. They will be staying overnight in a mountain refuge.

Having lunch in a rooftop restaurant in Marrakesh before heading out of the city to start exploring the Atlas mountains.

DAY 3 Friday 19th July
FROM: Oukaimeden TO: Iabassen
Team 1 will leave the mountain refuge and follow a narrow valley before catching a zigzag mule path to Tizi n Ouatar pass. It's a long descent to Agouns village before a last climb over a pass leading to the remote Iabassen village. Students will be staying overnight in a village house.
Team 1 have set off for a day of hiking.
DAY 4 Saturday 20th July
FROM: Iabassen TO: Tachedirte
After breakfast students will hike up to Tizi n Tachedirte at 3200m, the highest point of the trek. There will be a long descent down into Tachedirte village. Team 1 will be staying overnight in village house.

After their second day of mountain trekking Team 1 has arrived at the village of Tachedirte. They are staying in a village house overlooking the valley.

DAY 5 Sunday 21st July
FROM: Tachedirte TO: Tinoughrine
This morning, students will continue down the valley to Tinoughrine, the community project base. They will meet the village community and visit the project sites to learn about what they will be doing whilst here. They will be staying overnight in a village house.
Team 1 ready to leave for their shorter hike towards the village where they will begin their project work.

DAY 6-9 Monday 22nd July to Thursday 25th July
Tinoughrine
Students will be getting stuck into their project work over the next four days. They will be staying overnight in a village house.

DAY 10 Friday 26th July
FROM: Tinoughrine TO: Aroumd
Team 1 will pack up at their project and say goodbye to the village and hike to Aroumd. The team will have the afternoon to relax, or they can do a short walk around the local area. They will be staying overnight in a village house.

DAY 11 Saturday 27th July
FROM: Aroumd TO: Essaouira
After breakfast, Team 1 will drive to Essaouira. They will have the afternoon to explore this coastal city. They will stay overnight in a hotel.

DAY 12 Sunday 28th July
Essaouira
Team 1 has another free day to explore Essaouira. They will be staying overnight at a hotel.
Team 1 starting their own guided tour of the town.

DAY 13 Monday 29th July
FROM: Essaouira TO: Marrakesh
After breakfast, Team 1 will transfer back to Marrakesh. In the afternoon, the group can do an optional tour of the city with a guide, and visit the water museum. They will stay overnight in a hotel.

DAY 14 Tuesday 30th July

Team 1 have most of the day to explore more of Marrakesh. After an early dinner, students will head to the airport ready for their flight home.
Depart Marrakesh Airport 20:15, flight no. FR7869. Arrive in Stansted 23:50.
