Dear Students,
The Tech Department has noticed that some accounts are overloaded with photos and other files—likely from accidentally enabling photo backup on personal devices. This excess storage use can cause serious issues, especially when you graduate and need to switch to a personal account with only a 10GB limit.
To give you time to sort this out, we’ve temporarily lifted your storage limit. However, after March 1, a 25GB cap will be enforced.
What you need to do:
Review Your Photos: Go into Google Photos and delete any images you don’t need.
Need Help? If you’d rather have us handle it, we can perform a mass deletion—but please note this will remove all photos, including any you might want to keep.
Act now to safeguard any files you wish to keep. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the office.
Thank you,
Tech Department
Dear HMS Families,
Highland High School and Highland Middle School implements a student account monitoring program. Digital Learning has greatly increased and the program allows teachers and administrators to monitor students' district account activity. The goal is to help ensure students are focused on instruction in a safe and secure manner. Please remind your child/children that) their district accounts should only be used for educational purposes even outside of school. We encourage students to log out of their school accounts (School Email, Google Classroom/Drive, etc.) whenever they are not being used for school work. We appreciate your support in helping to maintain a healthy learning environment for students, faculty, and our schools.
Thank you,
HMS Administration
