Can you Save Fred? Students were asked to get Fred the worm from under the boat ( a plastic cup) and into the life preserver (gummy life saver) without touching it with their hands . They only had the use of four large paper clips.

Prep Adventure 1: Build a tower with index cards and tape that will hold a stuffed animal 10 inches off the ground for 10 seconds.

Create packaging out of soft casing and hard casing and test (drop from a height of 5 ft) to see if there is any damage to your aid drop supplies (pasta + marbles).
Will adding wings help slow down the aid drop package? Will there be any damage?
Will adding a parachute slow down the aid drop package? WIll there be any damage?
WIll adding a canopy slow down the aid drop package? Will there be any damage?

Can you find it? The students try to find plants, animals, and fruit in the jungle. What made them stand out?
How can we use (bright colors) to make our aid packages stand out in different environments?
Students choose an environment and then design a package to be seen and identified in that environment.
What symbols should we use so that people who don't speak English will know what is in the package?
