Article I

Section 1 Name of Organization
Hico Livestock Raisers Association
Section 2 Type of Organization
Non-Profit Organization
Section 3 The Purpose of the Organization:
The purpose of the Hico Livestock Association is to purchase projects of current Livestock Raisers Association Members at the Hamilton County Youth Fair of students representing Hico 4H and FFA. We will follow the rules set by the Hamilton Stock Show Committee on what projects are eligible for the sale. At this time all market animals, breeding animals, and arts and crafts projects are eligible for sale.
Article II
Section 1 Membership
Any or all supporters of 4H or FFA members
Section 2 Attendance and Fundraiser Requirements
Parents or students are expected to make the scheduled meetings of the association which are scheduled for the first Monday at 6:00 p.m. of every month. (Meetings will be rescheduled as necessary). Attendance of at least 50% of all meetings is required.
Location: Hico Secondary Cafeteria
Fundraisers - Parents or students must attend and work at least 75% of all fundraisers. Substantial donations also count as working fundraisers. You will also be expected to sell a certain amount of tickets (specified by the officers) on your own.
If the criteria are not met, the Association has the option of not purchasing your project. Officers, Ag teachers and 4H leaders will meet and determine any special circumstances.
Any available proceeds after the stock show may be paid to students that showed livestock at the current year Hamilton County Youth Fair and meet ALL of the criteria stated in Section 2 of Article II. Amounts will be determined by the executive committee based on the amount of money left after the current year's obligations are settled.
Section 3 New Students
New Members must complete 75% of Fundraisers from when membership begins to be eligible for 50% of the full dividend check received by a full membership member. Eligibility is defined as the start of membership to the end of the school year.
Article III
Section 1 Officers
President: 1. Preside over meeting
2. Handle any dispute about rules
Vice President: 1. Preside over meeting in absence of president
Secretary: 1. Take minutes of meeting
2. Keep record of parent and child participation
Treasurer: 1. Keep Treasurer’s report
2. Keep up with Donor’s list
Section 2 Election of officers
Officers shall be elected annually. There are no term limits for any of these Officers. Officers will be elected at the March Hico Livestock Raisers meeting.
Article IV
Section 1 Committees
The Hico Livestock Raisers Association Executive Board consists of the officers of the association, the current Hico ISD Agricultural Educators and the Hico 4H Manager.
Project Committees may be named as needed. They may be volunteered or appointed by the president.
Section 2 Duties of Committees
Gather information and report back to the association.
Power to act if given such power by the association.
Section 3 Executive Board Decisions
All Executive board decisions are final!
