About me
My name is Adam Watson. I am a 2002 graduate of Hamilton High School. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in History from Tarleton State University and a Master's Degree from West Texas A&M University in Educational Leadership. This is my seventh year as a teacher in Hico and my 18th year overall. I am an assistant football coach with emphasis on the Offensive and Defensive Lines. In the fall, I will serve and the Head Powerlifting Coach. In the Spring I will be the assistant baseball coach. My career began at Wellington ISD where I spent three years before moving to Sanford-Fritch ISD for eight years. In 2019, my family moved to Hico.
I became a teacher because I have a passion for learning and helping students grow. I am excited to begin year 18 with a new group of students that are ready to expand their knowledge of Texas History and Government. I am also looking forward to the next class of students coming into the Intro to UAV program with the ultimate goal of students becoming certified commercial drone pilots.
My wife, Dixie is also here at Hico ISD as our P-TECH Director. My sons, Abram and Tate, are students at Hico ISD. We are proud to be Tigers and look forward to another great year.
