a. Teach your child the three step process to resolving personal conflicts by asking:
"Why did you do that?";
"When you did that, I felt...";
"I would feel better if..."
a. To be effective, a consequence should meet three criteria:
1. Is it logically related to the misbehavior? (Children need to see the connection)
2. Is the enforcement respectful of the child?
3. Is the consequence reasonable to you and your child?
