P-TECH - Adirondack Academy
As an Instructional Coach at ADK and HFM PTECH, I support teachers' work with curriculum and instructional practices, while offering a variety of professional development. My work at HFM PTECH is focused on Project Based Learning, and there, I serve as the program's Positivity Project Teacher Leader.
Instructional Coach
As an instructional coach, within my districts, I work with all stakeholders to create and improve aligned curriculum resources, as well as assist in supporting with equitable implementation of school-wide assessments and effective progress monitoring. I have the opportunity to collaborate will all stakeholders to make instructional decisions based on student performance and data. I am able to observe and review curriculum, instructional strategies, data protocols, and the list goes on in order to make recommendations on best practices for supporting curriculum alignment across all grade levels within the specified content area for all grade levels. I ground myself as a coach in emphasizing the central concepts and structures of data collection, inquiry, analysis, and evaluation (to improve teacher effectiveness and teacher capacity). I also enjoy analyzing school data to develop action plans based on strengths and gaps that are aligned with a solid, effective progress monitoring tool and I am always up for learning new areas of content, curriculum, and best practice instructional strategies.
Instructional Coach, Curriculum and Instruction
As an instructional coach I meet with teachers or groups of teachers to help improve student success. I might co-plan with that teacher, help them gather resources, talk about data, or demonstrate a lesson. I also create professional development opportunities based on teacher need. Whether this be book studies or best practices.

As an instructional coach, I strive to be a supportive and knowledgeable educator who helps teachers improve their instructional practices. Through guidance, feedback, and resources, my goal is to help teachers enhance their teaching skills and create engaging learning experiences for students. Ultimately, we are working together to improve student achievement.
Instructional Data Coach
I use Cognos to pull data for Gloversville Middle and High School. The data, from every State Assessment, is distributed digitally as well as paper copies to all the teachers involved in each assessment. Through Departmental or individual meetings, the data is then used helped the teachers make decisions and adjustments. The objective is to develop a method of collecting information from Summative Evaluations throughout the school year and through State Assessments to help teachers make curriculum decisions.
Instructional Coach, Model Schools, Pathways, Esports
I am the Model Schools specialist on the team and coordinate with districts to identify and implement effective technologies that can be implemented to enhance instruction and the student experience. Contact me any time to learn more about educational platforms that you might be using or are interested to use. I am the coordinator of district Pathways programs in our region and assist with developing those district initiatives so that students can choose to follow a series of courses specific to their interests. I am also the developer and manager of the region-based HFM BOCES Scholastic Esports League that is available for all of our component schools. This includes team-based competition using various video games as well as the non-competitive Minecraft Challenges for our younger students.
