Shorthorns, the MS will be offering a one day drive-thru Shorthorn Leap on Tuesday, August 18, from 10am - 6pm, in front of the HS Old Gym. While remaining in the vehicle, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students will be able to pick up their chromebook, pay the $20 device insurance, and collect their 19-20 yearbook (if they ordered one). Parents must have completed the online registration process before a chromebook will be issued to the student on the 18th! Car riders in the front seat must wear a mask. Families are encouraged to print the Technology Form (translated copy) in advance and bring their own pens, though some will be available at the drive-thru event.
Our main method of communication will be Google Classroom. Students should check each of their Google Classrooms on a daily basis.
Students can email their teachers throughout the work day. Understand that answers may not be immediate.
If you do NOT have internet access at home, please let the front office know as soon as possible.
Please fill out the MS Device Action Report.
Remote: You will be contacted by the Tech Department and if it is determined the device needs repair, you will bring the device to the MS Portable Village Admin Building (Alamo St gated entrance) during school hours, 8:00am - 3:30pm. Remain in your vehicle and call the front office to notify them of your arrival. 409-794-1502.
Face-to-Face: Someone from the Tech Department will come to your classroom to pick up the damaged device. Use one of the provided teacher loaner devices until their arrival. Do not leave your classroom to turn in a damaged device. The Tech Department will come to you.
Instead of receiving a loaner during the repair, if students have paid for insurance they will be issued another device when their broken device is turned in for repair. They will not receive their original device back.
