Senior Director of Pupil Services
Regional
Hello HFCA families! My name is Danielle Harris, and I am proud to serve as the Senior Director of Pupil Services. Recognizing the growing needs of our students, I created and now lead our Wellness Team—a group of in-house providers including counselors, social workers, psychologists, and special education staff—so that every child has access to the care and support they need right here at school. In addition to leading this team, I oversee our special education program, guide social-emotional learning, and collaborate on curriculum to ensure students are supported both academically and personally. My focus is always on caring for the whole child while keeping HFCA’s mission at the center: preparing students to and through college.
I bring 9 years of experience in K–12 education and 7 years in the nonprofit sector mentoring youth. I hold a master’s degree in Urban Special Education and an MBA in Educational Leadership, along with lifetime licensure as both a special education teacher and an administrator. These experiences ground my work in both classroom practice and leadership. Outside of school, I enjoy international travel and spending time with my loved ones, which keeps me inspired and balanced. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you or your child need support; we are here for you every step of the way.
School Psychologist
Regional
I'm Sara Carse, the school psychologist at Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy. I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from Illinois State University and my master's and doctorate degree in educational psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This will be my seventh year as an independently practicing school psychologist. At HFCA, I work across all campuses with students of all ages. I conduct psychoeducational evaluations to help align students with the support they need to do their best learning. I also provide counseling services, support teachers and families with resources and strategies to support students, and work with students to reach behavioral goals. In my free time, I love to garden, cook, create, go to concerts, enjoy time with my loved ones, and spend time with my bulldog, George!
School Social Worker
Regional
I’m Sam Brock, a School Social Worker with both my BSW and MSW from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. I bring a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to my work and believe every student deserves a safe space to grow, process, and thrive. In my role, I focus on building strong, trusting relationships with scholars, advocating for their needs, and partnering with families and staff to connect them to meaningful resources and supports. I am passionate about fostering resilience, empowering scholars to navigate challenges, and creating environments where all young people can succeed. Outside of work, I love to travel and recharge with my dog and cat. I’m committed to showing up with consistency, empathy, and a deep belief in each scholar’s potential.
School Counselor
High School
I am Sharon Lloyd, School Counselor at Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy. I am a founding member of HFCA and have worked in various roles throughout my tenure here. I’m committed to the wellness of students by focusing on their social emotional health. My work with students is mainly solution focused therapy. I consistently work to find ways for students to manage their emotions and behaviors, cope with life events, plan for their future and become compassionate human beings that can have a positive impact on their community and the world.
School Counselor
Elementary and Middle School
I'm Lori Freeman, School Counselor at Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy’s Elementary and Middle School campuses. I was a middle school science teacher for many years before earning my Master’s degree in Counseling. I work with students who may need additional support with mental health, emotional regulation, social skills, or expressing their feelings. I also support parents and staff by providing strategies to more effectively reach and connect with our scholars. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, cooking, and watching movies.
