Laurina Fazioli

My research has two main goals within the framework of the diametric model of autism and schizophrenia: (1) to develop a computational model of Hyper-Theory of Mind, and (2) to investigate how the synergistic effects of autism and schizophrenia (and related spectra) are associated with the costs and benefits of saliency.

Rona Cicue

My research explores implicit learning using VR within the framework of the diametric model of Autism and Psychosis. A secondary focus is identifying mitigating factors of positive symptoms in schizophrenia.

My research, co-supervised by Prof. Bat-Sheva Hadad, investigates perceptual ensemble statistics and mechanisms in autism spectrum disorder using behavioral and computational methods.

Amal Saad

I am a graduate student in the Department of Special Education, co-supervised by Prof. Bat-Sheva Hadad. My research explores how attention orienting and perspective taking relate to each other and how they connect to traits associated with autism and psychosis. I use behavioral, eye-tracking, and fMRI methods to study these processes.

Shira Goldman 

I am a student in the Clinical Neuropsychology Program. My research investigates how individuals mentalize under uncertainty, with a particular focus on variations across the psychosis spectrum.

Khalid Medlej

My research investigates the interplay between breast cancer stigma, diagnosis concealment, internalized stigma, social support, and fear of death.

Muhammed Shalabna

I am an MA student at the Department of Neurobiology. My research project compares recent GWAS findings for autism, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and learning disabilities to identify shared and unique genetic risk factors. Gene ontology analyses are used to map the functions of these genes and characterize the biological pathways that converge and diverge across neurodevelopmental and psychiatric conditions.

I am a student in the Clinical Neuropsychology Program. My research explores the link between autistic and psychotic traits and variations in low- and mid-level visual perception, involving magno- and parvocellular processing and spatial crowding.
