Research
David's research focuses on natural resource & environmental policy and economics, with an emphasis on water resource management. Recent research has covered:
the relationship between economic growth and resource consumption
politics of transboundary waters
incentives for natural resource conservation
environmental conflict and peacebuilding
economic valuation of natural resources
In addition, he has also conducted research on issues such as international trade and the environment, renewable energy policy, green building, and transportation policy.
David has worked on research and consulted for numerous international, governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations and agencies, including various UN agencies and the World Bank. His research has served as the basis for various policy initiatives, including Project Prosperity, a bilateral agreement between Israel and Jordan to exchange solar energy and desalinated water.
