• Skills Mastery Quizzes 20%

• Other (assignments, notes, homework quizzes, etc) 20%

• Assessments 45%

• Comprehensive Final 15%

Skills Mastery Quizzes

• Must earn ⅘ for credit, less than 4 earns a zero (two in-class attempts)

• May retake as needed (after school or at lunch/in same semester)

• Students that earn 4/5 on every SMQ will automatically earn credit in the class (grade of D)

Assignments

• Given 3-5 days per week

  • After every new lesson

  • Occasional practice day in between

• Stamp for 5 points

• Late credit by for 3 points by end of unit

• Progress check on Wednesday/Friday of following week

  • Part of assignment grade

  • 1-3 questions

  • 5-20 points

*ALL work must be shown on assignments for credit

Test Retakes

Unit tests are given 3 times per semester.  Students will receive each test back and be required to complete corrections to any question missed.  All scores will be input into the gradebook.  If any of the 3 scores are unsatisfactory, students are given the option to complete a 4th take in order to replace the lowest of the three scores.  

**Students must make corrections to ALL takes and complete additional practice in order to be eligibe for test retake.

Make Up Policy

• Assignments - number of days absent + 1 day

• Tests & quizzes - Upon return to school during class time (unless scheduled otherwise)

  • Tests must be taken in one sitting

**Tardy sweep is NOT an excused absence and will not warrant additional time**

Policies

• Cellphones and headphones are to be OFF AND AWAY at all times

• Restroom

  • After the first 10 minutes/before the last 10 minutes

Supplies

• Necessary

  • Two composition books (not spiral bound)

  • Pencils

  • Calculator

• Helpful

  • Glue sticks

  • Highlighters

  • Colored pencils
