Course Description: Physical Science (Physics) is a one semester course focused on the study of physics. Physical Science will involve the study of the structures and states of matter. This introductory course may include such topics as forms of energy, wave phenomenon, electromagnetism, and physical interactions. The physics portion will focus on the study of motion: speed, velocity, and acceleration; and Newton’s Laws: force, gravity, and momentum. Students will experience hands-on practice, guided practice, and quizzes/tests.
Physical Science: Physics is a semester course (0.5 credit) primarily for sophomores.
