This is my 20th year at AHES & my 2nd year at HES!
I am in AHES Tues/Thurs/Fri, and at HES Mon/Wed.
I am originally from Maryland, and began my adventures in art as a child with regular trips to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., where I got to see many of the artworks I teach my students about today!
While I teach many different forms of art, my favorites to create on my own are film photography, printmaking, and mixed media collage. Sometimes my art is on exhibit locally, at the library or the AH Arts Council! I hold two BA degrees, in Visual Arts and in American Studies, from the University of MD (UMBC); and an MA in Art Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
I live in Atlantic Highlands with my four cats and English bulldog.
Favorite colors: Lavender, Gray, Black, Leopard Print
Some of my favorite artists: Remedios Varo, Romare Bearden, Nick Cave, Man Ray, Amy Earles, Sophia Rapata, Andy Warhol, Frida Kahlo, Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh
Other favorites: reading, coffee, road trips, watching old movies
