Advanced Fine Art

The Advanced Fine Art program (formerly known as Challenge Art) has a decades-long legacy at AHES.   This accelerated program offers advanced Art classes with an exclusive focus on traditional fine art skills and techniques.  Materials include a variety of drawing pencils, charcoal, and acrylic on canvas.  All students in 5th and 6th Grades are evaluated for this class during the first few weeks of school, with drawing exercises designed to assess their skill levels.  Students must demonstrate an exceptional quality of work above and beyond grade level in order to be admitted to the class. 

This year, Advanced Fine Art will meet on Fridays  from 2:20-3:00.

6th Graders will participate from October-February, with 5th Grade participating from February through June.
