The Georgia One Act Competition is an acting competition for high school students in Georgia, organized by the Georgia High School Association (GHSA). Schools compete by presenting a fully-staged play, with an emphasis on acting rather than technical elements. The competition is held at the region and state levels.  

Auditions for our production of The Little Prince will be held:

Thursday, August 13
3:20 PM – 5:00 PM
Room 307

Students auditioning will need to prepare:

1. Slate

• Introduce yourself

• State your name, grade, and any theatre experience

• Share the character(s) you are interested in auditioning for 

2. Audition Form

• Complete the audition information form when you arrive

3. One-Minute Monologue
Prepare a one-minute memorized monologue.

Your monologue may be:

• Comedic or  Dramatic

Choose a piece that shows your personality, acting ability, and range as a performer.

4. Cold Reads
Some students may be asked to participate in cold reads from the script for specific characters.

Come prepared, be confident, and remember: auditions are not just about being perfect  they are about showing us your creativity, commitment, and passion for storytelling.
