Introduction to Software Technology is a foundational course designed for all high school students interested in pathways such as Cloud Computing, Computer Science, Game Design, the Internet of Things, Programming, Web and Digital Design, and Web Development. This course equips students with the skills to understand, communicate, and adapt to a digital world in personal, societal, and business contexts.
Students will acquire foundational knowledge in programming languages, software development, app creation, and user interface design through hands-on activities and project-based tasks.
Participation in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is an integral part of this course, emphasizing employability skills and preparing students for college and career readiness. The curriculum also focuses on professional communication, problem-solving, ethical considerations, and presentation skills.
Prerequisite: Advisor approval.
