Entrepreneurship challenges students to think boldly, take initiative, and build something real. From identifying a market opportunity to structuring an organization, securing financing, and managing day-to-day operations, students experience the full journey of launching and running a business. Accounting, finance, marketing, business law, and economics converge as students develop a comprehensive business plan that goes beyond theory. The challenges of small business ownership are explored honestly and creatively, pushing students to problem-solve, innovate, and lead. Whether students see themselves as future founders or competitive professionals in any industry, this course builds the mindset and skill set to succeed. Technology tools, professional communication, and ethical decision-making are embedded throughout, ensuring students leave college and career ready. As the third and capstone course in the Entrepreneurship pathway, students should have completed both Introduction to Business & Technology and Legal Environment of Business before enrolling.
Mastery of this course prepares students for the end-of-pathway assessment. FBLA competencies are integral to the employability standards throughout this course.
Students that complete the NOCTI General Management End of Pathway Exam will receive a NOCTI General Management Certification. There is also an opportunity for those students that pass the NOCTI EOPA to receive college credit.
