Legal Environment of Business equips students with a working knowledge of the legal landscape that governs businesses, families, and individuals alike. From court procedures and contracts to employment law, consumer protection, and international law, students gain practical insight into the legal forces that impact daily life and professional careers. Ethics, environmental law, and the government's role in business are also examined, encouraging students to think critically about the world they're stepping into as future citizens, workers, and consumers. Students will not only understand legal concepts, but apply them to real scenarios, defend their reasoning, and develop the professional communication and presentation skills demanded in college and the workforce. Emerging technologies shaping the modern business world are highlighted throughout the course. As the second course in the Entrepreneurship pathway, students should have successfully completed Introduction to Business & Technology prior to enrolling. FBLA competencies are integrated throughout as a core component of both content and employability standards.
