Heather Miller is currently in her 19th year of teaching students about music.   As a graduate of Jacksonville State University she has been teaching students in private and public schools in Georgia.  Since opening LGHS in 2009 her students have participated in GMEA All State Bands, District Honor Bands, Solo and Ensemble, UGA JanFest Honor Bands, UGA Summer Institute Bands, Reinhardt University Honor Bands, Jacksonville State University Honor Bands, GMEA In-Service ensembles, NAfME events, and various communities activities.  Graduating seniors have gone on to become members in many college music programs such as Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, UGA, Georgia Southern University, Jacksonville State University, University of Florida, University of South Carolina,  the United States military, community theaters, and community ensembles.  In her free time Ms. Miller enjoys tooting her own Horn at First Baptist Atlanta  with the Worship Orchestra as part of their music ministries.  She is a native of Jones County, GA and has a wildcat of her own, Oreo! ​
