Choosing the Right Monologue.pdf

Auditions for the One Act will be held August 18-19th beginning at

3:30 p.m. in room 305!


Please bring a snack and a drink.

If you need to stay after school because you do not have a ride, please see Ms. Devane.

You may remove masks while on stage during audition.

Please dress according to school dress code. There will not be any movement required regarding dance or other special skills. Dress comfortably.

Please prepare a monologue (dramatic) no longer than 2-3 minutes. Please bring a copy of your monologue. * Look at the checklist for choosing the right monologue!

Look over the audition rubric below.

Please be prepared to "slate" before your audition.

Please be prepared to possibly do cold reads individually or with another actor. You may be called back the following day as needed.

Please be prepared to audition in front of several people/judges.

You will be assigned a number before the audition process begins.

You will wait outside of room 305 until you are called.

Please have your audition form completely filled out and hand to Ms. Devane upon entering the room if you have not turned in already.

Please understand that we appreciate your bravery when you audition, however, there are only so many roles, and everyone may not be chosen to be a part of this production.
