Welcome, Class of 2028! It is time to select your very first high school courses!

Please read the instructions carefully below to complete and return the Course Selections in Google Classroom.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ACADEMIC PLANNER AND COURSE SELECTION FORM

COURSE RECOMMENDATIONS

Students may receive course recommendations from the 8th grade teachers (Honors, AP and Support courses). The course recommendations are to be used as a guide and are not the final course selections.

COURSE SELECTION FORM INSTRUCTIONS

The 2024-2025 Course Request Form is posted as an assignment to complete and turn in via Google Classroom (Countdown 2028). Use the instructions below to complete the form and return to the Google Classroom. This form is the OFFICIAL course request form and is used for scheduling purposes.

Students will be scheduled for a total of EIGHT courses for their 2024-2025 ELHS schedule. Four courses will be scheduled 1st semester and four courses will be scheduled the 2nd semester.

Course Selection Form Instructions:

Complete the top section (Name and Future Career Interest)

• Place an X beside the EIGHT courses that the student wishes to take next school year (at least 4 core courses - ELA, MATH, SCIENCE & SOCIAL STUDIES* and 4 electives (Honors, AP, Support, etc.).

• Choose 3 ALTERNATE elective courses (numbering 1, 2 and 3 in order of preference).

• Submit the form back as an assignment in Google Classroom.

Families will receive an e-mail notification via Henry County Messenger when courses are available to verify/update in Infinite Campus beginning March 11th.   The last day to make changes to any course requests for the 2024-2025 school year is May 3, 2024.  Student schedules will not be changed once school begins.
