INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE COURSE SELECTION FORM
COURSE SELECTION FORM
The 2024-2025 Course Request Form will be posted in your Cohort (Graduation Year ex. Class of 2025) Counseling Google Classroom beginning January 22, 2024. The course form is posted as an assignment to complete and turn in via Google Classroom. Use the instructions below to complete the form and return in the Google Classroom. This form is the OFFICIAL course request form and is used for scheduling purposes.
Students will be scheduled for a total of EIGHT courses for their 2024-2025 ELHS schedule. Four courses will be scheduled 1st semester and four courses will be scheduled for the 2nd semester.
Course Selection Form Instructions:
Complete the top section (Full Name, Student ID #, etc.)
Place an X beside the EIGHT courses that the student wishes to take next school year (at least 4 core courses - ELA, MATH, SCIENCE & SOCIAL STUDIES and 4 electives totaling eight courses). You may refer to your 1st semester Teacher Recommendation form for recommended levels (honors, AP, Fine Arts, CTAE).
Choose 3 ALTERNATE elective courses (numbering 1, 2 and 3 in order of preference).
2024-2025 Course Selections will be available in Infinite Campus to view and approve via the 2024-2025 Course Requests tab beginning March 7, 2024.
Remember that two years of the same foreign language courses may be required for admission to a 4 year college or university, even though it is not a graduation requirement. These 8 choices and 3 ALTERNATE choices include academic electives, fine arts, physical education, and CTAE courses. You may not receive your first preferred elective, so choose alternates carefully. Enrollment in honors and advanced placement classes is based upon satisfactory completion of prerequisite courses. In most cases, seniors will not be able to enroll in entry-level (1st year) courses. The FINAL day to request changes to the 2024-2025 schedule is May 3, 2024.
Parents may request to schedule an advisement meeting with their specific counselor after March 7, 2024 to discuss their current academic status and make any necessary revisions to their graduation planner and course selection. The FINAL day to make changes to course requests for the 2024-2025 school year is May 3, 2024. There will be no changes to course schedules during the 2024-2025 school year, so please review your child's course selections carefully.
