Course Description
Algebra II: Concepts & Connections is the culminating course in a sequence of three high school courses designed to ensure career and college readiness. It is designed to prepare students for fourth course options relevant to their career pursuits. High school course content standards are listed by big ideas including Data and Statistical Reasoning, Probabilistic Reasoning, Functional and Graphical Reasoning, Patterning and Algebraic Reasoning, and Geometry Patterning and Spatial Reasoning. This course enhances students’ geometric, algebraic, graphical, and probabilistic reasoning skills. The identified Prerequisite for this course is Geometry: Concepts & Connections.

● MHS instructors will input at least ONE grade per course per week.

Formative-any assessment that demonstrates mastery over a topic or concept (i.e. practice work/quiz)

Make-Up Work Policy

❖ It is the student’s responsibility to complete and turn in make-up assignments by the appropriate deadline.
❖ Example: All assignments from Unit 1 MUST be turned in on or before the end of Unit 2.
❖ Students have the same number of days to complete missing work as the number of days the student was absent.
Practice & Assessment Recovery Policy
Students are allowed to retake any unit tests before getting to the end of the next unit. Note: Students will not be given the same test as the original. Students may do recovery work if needed to achieve mastery. IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS WITH THE TEACHER TO RETAKE A TEST.
