The 2026 Fall Sports season is here! Hampton High School Athletics is excited to showcase the dedication, talent, and hard work of our student-athletes and coaches.
Football — The Hornets are ready to compete, build on last season’s momentum, and represent Hampton with pride every Friday night.
Flag Football — The Lady Hornets Flag Football team is ready to take the field and compete this season. With an emphasis on teamwork, athleticism, discipline, and preparation, the program will look to continue building a strong foundation while representing Hampton High School with pride.
Cross Country — Our runners are focused on endurance, growth, and competing at a high level throughout the season.
Softball — The Lady Hornets are bringing energy, discipline, and determination to the diamond as they compete for another successful season.
Volleyball — The Lady Hornets are ready to take the court with teamwork, intensity, and a commitment to getting better every day.
Cheerleading — Our Cheer program will bring energy, school spirit, leadership, and Hornet pride to every competition and athletic event. One School. One Athletic Department. One Hornet Family.
Football: Coach Chad Ashley-Head Football Coach
Coach Ashley leads the Hornets with a focus on discipline, preparation, teamwork, and developing student-athletes on and off the field. The Hornets are ready to compete and represent Hampton High School with pride.
Flag Football: Coach Spotlight -Coach Williams. Head Flag Football Coach
Coach Williams returns to lead the Hornets Flag Football program with a commitment to competition, teamwork, leadership, and student-athlete development. Following a successful season that earned him Hampton High School Fall Sports Coach of the Year honors, Coach Williams and the Lady Hornets are ready to build on that success and make another strong impact this season.
Volleyball: Dr. Michael Fletcher-Head Volleyball Coach
Dr. Fletcher brings leadership, energy, and a commitment to excellence to the Lady Hornets Volleyball program. His focus on teamwork, growth, and education-based athletics continues to build a strong program culture.
Softball: Coach Phillip Fountain-Head Softball Coach
Coach Fountain leads the Lady Hornets with an emphasis on preparation, accountability, and competitive excellence. The program is ready to take the field and make an impact this season.
Cross Country: Coach Latrell Murray-Head Cross Country Coach
Coach Murray is building a culture centered on endurance, discipline, personal growth, and competitive success. The Hornets are ready to hit the course and challenge themselves throughout the season.
Cheerleading: Coach Chelsey Hardeman-Head Cheerleading Coach
Coach Hardeman leads the Hornets Cheer program with energy, school spirit, leadership, and pride. The program is ready to represent Hampton High School with enthusiasm at competitions and athletic events.
Introducing Our New Athletic Department Coaches
Hampton High School Athletics is excited to welcome several new leaders to our coaching staff! Each brings experience, energy, and a commitment to education-based athletics and student-athlete development.
Phillip Fountain: Head Softball Coach
Coach Fountain joins the Hornets as our new Head Softball Coach. He brings leadership and a commitment to building a competitive program focused on teamwork, discipline, and student-athlete growth.
Latrell Murray: Head Cross Country & Track Coach
Coach Murray will lead both our Cross Country and Track & Field programs. His focus on discipline, conditioning, personal growth, and competitive excellence will help our student-athletes reach new levels.
Timothy Veach: Head Wrestling Coach
Coach Veach joins Hampton High School to lead our Wrestling program. He brings a commitment to developing strong competitors while building character, accountability, and resilience both on and off the mat.
Kenya Harris: Head Soccer Coach
Coach Harris joins the Hornets as our new Soccer Coach. We look forward to the leadership, passion, and positive culture Coach Harris will bring to our soccer program. Essence Bobo – GPA: 4.34- Student Athletic Advisory Council Ambassador
Hampton High School is proud to recognize Essence Bobo for her outstanding achievements both in the classroom and as a leader on campus. With an impressive 4.4 GPA, Essence exemplifies what it means to be a true student-athlete—balancing academic rigor with extracurricular excellence. As a Student Athletic Advisory Council Ambassador, she represents her peers with integrity, dedication, and vision, helping to strengthen the connection between academics, athletics, and student life. Her commitment to leadership and scholarship continues to set the standard for excellence at Hampton High School.
