REPEAT COURSES: Students who are zoned to attend TMS will attend Freeman High School for summer school. There will be two summer school sessions for students who need to repeat one or two core classes:

Parents/Guardians will receive communication from Teachers and School Counselors if students are required to participate in this pathway. Middle School Summer Recovery is for students currently in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade who will need to enroll in course recovery classes during the summer, who did not pass one of their core academic classes during the 2025-2026 school year. Please know that course recovery classes are only available to students who must repeat the course. These classes are not an option for students taking the class for initial credit (i.e., first time or for a higher grade). Transportation will be provided for current HCPS students.
Middle School Tuition: Henrico Resident $180 per course | Non-Henrico Resident $430 per course

The registration window opens on March 16, 2026, and close at 3:00 p.m. on June 3, 2026.
Students can take one class each session.
Session 1
Session 1
June 8 - June 25, 2026 (Monday - Thursday)
8:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m.
No classes on Fridays or June 18, 2026
Session 2
Session 2
June 29 – July 16, 2026 (Monday – Thursday)
8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
No classes on Fridays or July 2, 2026
*Please read the details in the summer school brochure and contact your child's teacher if you have questions about their current grade status. You may contact the school counseling office @ 804-731-3720 if you have questions about summer school.
***The maximum number of classes a student can repeat in summer school is two.***
