September 6, 2025 (11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.): Highland Springs High School
September 11, 2025 (5:30-8:00 p.m.): J.R. Tucker High School
September 23, 2025 (6:00-7:00 p.m.): Bridge Builders Virtual Information Session

Maggie Walker Governor’s School Information:
Families of eligible 8th grade students will be contacted in early October
Eligible students will be given access to the application on October 1, 2025. Grade 8 students are eligible to apply if they meet the following criteria:
Enrolled in Algebra I or a higher-level mathematics course for high school credit when they apply.
Have a B average on the core subjects for the 7th grade year*
*Students who do not have a B average but would like to be considered as an applicant due to special circumstances must meet with their school counselor prior to October 15, 2025.
The virtual HCPS Informational Session for parents and students will be held Monday, September 30th at 5:30 p.m. A link will be shared via a Parent Square message to eligible HCPS families
An In-Person Information Session will be held at Maggie L. Walker for eligible 8th grade students on October 25th at 10:00 a.m.
Further information will be shared when application access is granted on October 1st.
Applications are due at 11:59 p.m. on December 1, 2025
