This will be my 26th year teaching at Short Pump Elementary, and I have loved every one of them. I am originally from Northern New Jersey and came down to Richmond to attend the University of Richmond. I graduated from the University of Richmond with a BA in Psychology and Spanish and a concentration in Elementary Education. I also received my Master of Teaching graduate degree from UR in 2000.
I loved Richmond so much that after I graduated, I decided to stay. Thankfully, I was able to student teach here at Short Pump and was hired right after graduation.
My husband and I were married at the University of Richmond Chapel in May of 2010. Our sweet daughter Madelyn will be starting seventh grade this fall at Short Pump Middle School right down the road. The last member of our family is our 6 year old Goldendoodle named Duke.
My family is very important to me, and I am so lucky that we live near each other. My parents moved from New Jersey to Richmond a few years ago, and my two sisters and their families now both live in Northern Virginia.
My mission for this year is to provide a supportive, positive environment where students will be challenged to meet their potential socially, emotionally, and academically. I look forward to working with you and your child this year!
