EDFLIX Summer Season begins July 13, 2020, and is designed to provide closure on the 2019-2020 school year and prepare for the start of the 2020-2021 school year. Through EDFLIX, Henrico students will have access to the foundational and enrichment learning experiences via various pathways (see below).

EDFLIX SUMMER SEASON:

• Early Learning Preschool (Rising Kindergarten): Henrico EDFLIX is excited to offer additional learning opportunities this summer for rising Kindergarten students the weeks of July 13-Aug 6. Each week includes learning Choice Board activities and videos to support the areas of Reading, Math, Social Emotional, Fine Motor, and Gross Motor, as well as Virtual Field Trip opportunities, and office hours with teachers to support families with questions about summer learning

• Elementary ESL Learners (Pathway 2: Rising 1st -Rising 5th): Henrico EDFLIX Elementary ESL Summer Season is foundational learning available to English Language Learning students. It is directed towards Level 1 (beginning) students in grades rising 1st through rising 5th, but is open for any elementary student to complete during the weeks of July 13 – August 6 as part of HCPS EDFLIX Season 3.

• Elementary Learners (Pathway 3: Rising 1st -Rising 6th): Henrico EDFLIX Elementary Summer Season is entirely optional and ungraded foundational and enrichment learning embedded into a daily schedule available to all HCPS students and families during the summer weeks of July 13-Aug 6. Each daily schedule includes Reading, Writing, Math, STEAM and Social-Emotional Learning.

• Middle School Learners : Henrico EDFLIX Middle School Summer Season is entirely optional and ungraded foundational and enrichment learning in English, Math, Science and Social Studies embedded into a weekly schedule available to all HCPS students and families during the summer weeks of July 13-Aug 6.

• High School Learners : Henrico EDFLIX High School Summer Season is entirely optional and ungraded foundational and enrichment learning in English, Math, Science and Social Studies embedded into a weekly schedule available to all HCPS students and families during the summer weeks of July 13-Aug 6.

• Summer Reading (K-12): The Henrico Summer Reading 2020 Kick-off Landing Page for ES, MS, and HS readers. All activities are optional, engaging, and designed to encourage learners to read widely all summer long.
