📅 Saturday, October 3
⏰ Beginning at 9:00 AM
📍 Highland Springs High School
We’ll plant until the garden is finished! Depending on how many volunteers we have, that could take an hour or it could take several hours. Come for as long as you’re able to help!
Please wear clothes and shoes appropriate for working outside. If you have gardening gloves, a shovel, or a trowel, bring them along!
Transportation will not be provided, so students will need to arrange their own transportation to and from Highland Springs High School.

Most youth who attend public meetings are required to do so for class credit or to satisfy a criterion for a merit badge. The most prominent recurring public meetings Henrico County hosts are the Board of Supervisors’ regular meetings, which are typically held at 7:00 pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. In order for your student or scout to make the most of his/her attendance at a public meeting, the County Manager’s Office will be hosting Local Government 101: Henrico’s Student and Scout Educational Program. This brief educational program on the structure and function of local government begins at 6:00 pm, one hour prior to the second regular Board of Supervisors meeting of the month. The program complements any requirements needed for students and scouts to earn credit for civic badges and obtain vital information for class assignments.
Registration for attendance is required and available online at https://henrico.us/services/local-government-101/
