STEAM : Trap-A-Squirrel

Fenway’s arch nemesis is the Evil Squirrel. Help Fenway capture his enemy by creating a squirrel trap. Use materials or “found” objects from home (e.g. shoe box, pipe cleaners, plastic containers, blocks) to plan and build a “trap” for squirrels.

Cooking: Dog Cookies

Fenway loves treats!  Cook some dog treats at home with an adult!

Do a scientific observation of a squirrel.  How do they act? What do they like to eat?  Do they have friends they hang out with? See below for the PDF.

Written Language: Name It!

Fenway has clever names for items and people that are different from the ones we typically use.  What would you name yourself? What are some names that you might give to other people in your family, school, or community?  For example, your mom might be the Cookie Maker or the Hug Giver.  The mailman could be the Envelope Deliverer. Your math teacher might be the Numbers Lady. Create a list together with your family of creative alternate names for the people that you encounter every day.
