Time in Development: Two Weeks

Overview

Training on HCPS Learning Management System, Schoology. The goal of this training was for the adult learners to be able to use and apply each function in the LMS system.

Challenge

• Each year all new adult staff members have to be trained in using our LMS Schoology. Returning staff members need an updated training as a refresher but also need to be introduced to any updated or new features.

Solution

• We decided to create a self-paced course that adult learners throughout the county could complete on Schoology. Since they have several learning elements to complete at the beginning of the year, we wanted to make accessing this learning flexible time-wise.

• We designed the course so that each learning target had directions, video instructions, and tasks implemented the learning target.

Results

• Each adult staff member can use our LMS Schoology to engage students in virtual and in person instruction.

• Students have access to learning content and material in the LMS.
