What Veterans Day Means to Me
By: Wendy Zorn
Veterans Day, a day of remembrance and celebration of all United States veterans, is a day where I have a chance to make my contribution to my country. Every Veterans Day, I ask myself, "What can I do that will amount to all the sacrifices made by my nations soldiers?" Only now do I realize how the little acts of kindness like saying thank you and helping a friend in need make a world of difference. I have found there are people there in the world who say a kid cannot make a difference in the world, yet by proving them wrong, you're doing exactly that. So, I choose the path of kindness (a world changing path at that), which Veterans Day inspires me to do. Overall, that is what this great holiday me to me, and I send my gratitude to all that have served my nation.
