To further help our school be a safe and respectful place, we also use the Second Step Bullying Prevention Unit. In these lessons, your child will learn specific skills to help stop bullying. The Bullying Prevention Unit teaches students how to recognize and report bullying and about the power of being positive bystanders.
Types of Lessons
Recognize when bullying is happening.
Report bullying to a caring adult.
Refuse to let bullying happen to themselves or others.
Be a bystander who stands up and is part of the solution to bullying.
Children and Safety
Working together as a community, we can protect children and keep them safe from abuse. The Second Step Child Protection Unit for Kindergarten through Grade 5 provides a multi-layered approach to child safety. By creating a child protection strategy, be prepared to recognize, respond to, and report abuse. And the lessons in the Child Protection Unit help students recognize, report, and refuse unsafe situations.
