Practicum I in Health Science
Recommended for students in Grades 11 and 12.
Prerequisites: Health Science Theory and Biology
- Designed to give students practical application of previously studied knowledge and skills.
- Practicum experiences can occur in a variety of locations appropriate to the nature and level of experience.
- Includes unpaid experience for students participating in a coherent sequence of career and technical education courses in the Health Science Career Cluster.
- Students are certified in Healthcare BLS CPR.
- Students are enrolled in CE/DC Courses via Blackboard with Kilgore College
- Body Systems (Fall Semester) and Medical Terminology (Spring Semester)
- Students are encouraged to participate in extended learning experiences such as career and technical student organizations (HOSA) and other leadership or extracurricular organizations.

Students delivered homemade Christmas cards to Residents at Autumn Leaves. This is a long-standing tradition of our Health Science Department. The residents enjoy the interactions with students and receiving such special cards.
