The California Young Reader Medal helps kids find great books and love reading. Students read books, pick their favorites, and vote on the best ones.
There are different book lists for different grade levels. Kids all over California read the books during the school year and vote for the one they like best.
The winning books and authors are announced in May!
Click on a cover to listen to a Read-A-Loud or check out any these nominees in our library!
Some books will not have a Read-A-Loud, but I have included their Call Number so you can easily check them out. When you are finished listening, please vote for your favorite. I will send in our cumulative votes to CAYR.
Voting will begin in a few weeks!
