Contact Printing

Cut your negatives into sixes and lay in the Contact Print Holder - emulsion-side up, (shiny side to the glass).

In the dark room, set up your enlarger so that the lens is wide open and the filters are set to 3, 3, 0.

Filters are out 

Focus your image and make sure that it is the correct size and in the correct position on the board.

First do a test strip by using a quarter sheet of photographic paper and laying it in the Contact Print Holder so that the paper and negatives are emulsion to emulsion.

Expose the whole test strip to the light for 1 second , then using the card to cover your test strip, cover a quarter, expose 1 second, cover the next quarter, 2 seconds, cover the next quarter and finally 4 seconds on the last quarter.

Put into developer, stop and fix in the usual way. 2mins Dev; 30secs Stop; 5mins Fix. 

Once you have decided on a time, do a large print of all of your negatives.
