For MS Internet Explorer (not Edge) there are Internet Settings that enable both iFrames and Cross-Frame communications.
From Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options
Click Security Tab > Internet Zone > Custom Level button
Enable IFrames & Cross Domain operations
