Allamakee Prevention Advisory
In Action!
Recently, the Allamakee Prevention Advisory hosted a Hidden in Plain Sight at Postville High School during conferences. HIPS gives adults the opportunity to go through a mock teenager's bedroom and identify items that may involve substance use. Participants who attend a HIPS are informed of many different types of substances & substance related items and their impact on youth. This Hidden In Plain Sight event was funded through SAMHSA's 2024 Communities Talk Stipend which was awarded to the Allamakee Prevention Advisory in March.
