About Ms. Hunton

I am looking forward to beginning our exciting adventure of first grade together and I thought you might like to know a little about me. I received my teaching degree from the University of Montana, where I additionally pursued a math emphasis. I also have a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in hands-on learning. I began my career at Hellgate in 2017 when I student taught in first grade. I then taught kindergarten for 4 years before returning to teaching first grade in 2022.

My husband and I have a son who will be a second grader at Hellgate this year and a daughter who will turn three this fall. We enjoyed mountain biking, hiking, swimming, reading, and going to the farmer's market this summer.

My favorite things about teaching are building relationships with my students and watching their growth over the school year. We are going to have a great year together!
