Reading

Reading Mastery is a direct-instruction curriculum that is utilized in all fifth grade classrooms. We work on learning new words from the story before reading, read/review new vocabulary and definitions, and read a story passage together as a class. Assigned work is comprised of a workbook and textbook assignments, which assess students' comprehension of the story and understanding of a variety of literary elements.
