Hi there,
My name is Georgina (Georgie) Kepferle (Kep-fur-lee) and I am thrilled to part of the outstanding 6th grade team at Hellgate Elementary.
My career in Education started back in 2013 when I chose to travel and teach English abroad. Below, you can find out a little about each of the places I have lived and taught in.
Since arriving back in Montana (5 years ago) I have attained my Masters in curriculum and instruction and Licensure in K-8 Elementary Education.
I am also a few classes away from completing a Literacy/Reading endorsement.
My Bio
I was born and raised in Southampton, United Kingdom and am currently working on becoming a dual citizen.
You might notice I have a strong accent and use all kinds of different words.
I have been living in Missoula for four years with my husband who is from Billings and with our Golden Retriever, Wilfred (Wilf).
A few things I enjoy: Traveling (I have been to 20 different countries), baked goods, pastel colors, reading, writing, and playing the Cello & Piano (This is my undergraduate degree).
I am so excited to meet you all and please feel free to ask me any questions!
I worked in a public school in the city of Phetchabun from 2013-2014. I taught over 600 students every week. This was the most challenging yet rewarding experience I had teaching children and it ignited my love for teaching.
I taught in a private performing arts school in the city of Busan. We completed many fun projects such as Art shows, musicals, plays, poetry, narrative competitions, talent shows and Showcases.
I taught in Vienna, Salzburg, Uttendorf and Bavaria as part of an English program to motivate and engage students in the learning of English. This is where I met a Montanian and discovered that Montana was a state I knew I had to visit.
I worked for the Walt Disney Company in Shanghai, China, for two years as a Senior English Teacher. I taught English to elementary students through Disney content. I was also a mentor teacher that helped with train new and current teachers.
I worked in a very large school in Hai Phong (Outside of Hanoi and Ha Long Bay). I worked with teachers all over the world and was also a certified Examiner of English exams for Entry to study abroad.
Two years ago I completed my Student Teaching in 5th grade at Franklin Elementary and worked as a long-term substitute in 6th grade at Washington Middle School.
