Meet Mr. Perkins

Hello! The 2025-26 school year is my 21st year teaching. I taught second grade for four years in Hamilton, MT. Then, I moved to Hellgate Elementary and have been teaching third grade for 17 years.

I met my beautiful wife, Linda, in 1996 and we married in 2002. In 2008, we welcomed our son Grady, who is now a junior at Big Sky High School. We spend our summers traveling as much as possible, frequently in our camper. We've spent many summers taking the camper to South Lake Tahoe, CA visiting with my wife's sisters along the lake's shores. This past summer, we didn't take the camper to Tahoe, instead we journeyed to Italy for a three week trip. We also spent a little time camping and played numerous rounds of golf in the Missoula area. The summer recharged my batteries and I am ready for the next nine months of school! During the school year, we can often be found at Grizzly sporting events, particularly attending the football home games and several men's and women's basketball games. Or, you may catch us dining at one of Missoula's many local establishments. If you see us out and about, don't hesitate to say hello!
