For the first two days of school (which are half days for ELP), your child will not be assigned a designated teacher. Instead, on these two days we will mix up all of our ELP students as a chance to see them play and interreact with as many of their peers as possible. After having time to get to know all of the students, we will split them into 3 classes of 18. You will be notified of your child's teacher on Friday, August 29th and beginning the next school day, September 2nd, your child will regularly attend their assigned classroom.
Each ELP classroom will consist of 1 certified teacher, a full-time paraprofessional, and 18 students.
Our Early Literacy Program follows the same schedule as the rest of the district with the exception of a few dates:
August 27th: No School for ELP
August 28th & 29th: ELP dismisses at 11:00
December 19th: No School for ELP
April 2nd & 3rd: No School for ELP
ELP will follow the same daily schedule as the rest of the primary grade levels with school days running from 8:15-3:00 (8:15-2:00 on Thursdays).
